Local Information

Kawagoe

A historical castle town which is sometimes called "Small Edo," a city reminiscent of the Edo period. It is highly recommended to visit a clock tower called Tokinokane, the symbol of the city, and Kashiya Yokocho, an alley lined with candy stores. To visit Kawagoe, transfer to the Kawagoe Line at Omiya Railway Station, and get off at Kawagoe Railway Station. It takes about 24 minutes from Omiya Railway Station to Kawagoe Railway Station.
