- Yokohama theme park paradise
There are many fun and unique theme parks in Yokohama. We had hotel concierges who know all about hot tourist spots tell us about the appealing theme parks of Yokohama.
A luxurious atmosphere that allows you to fully enjoy Yokohama
The Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers, which can be accessed directly from Haneda Airport, is the perfect hotel for you to stay in when sightseeing as it is located right in front of the West Exit of Yokohama Railway Station with trains, busses, and taxis nearby. The guestrooms are high-grade, as can be expected from a Sheraton luxury hotel. A comfortable stay and the view of Yokohama through the window make your trip an even more pleasant one.
Direct access from Haneda Airport
The Keikyu Limousine Bus makes six direct round trips a day from the Haneda Airport International Terminal. There is no need to make bothersome transfers and you can freely travel even with large baggage. Connections can be made at YCAT (the bus terminal at the East Exit of Yokohama Railway Station), which has the largest number of busses departing and arriving in the area. (YCAT can be accessed from the Yokohama Bay Sheraton on foot. Please ask your concierge for directions.)
Enjoy a top-class Japanese aquarium!
One attraction that Hakkeijima Sea Paradise is particularly famous for is the couple of whale sharks that are bred here. You will not want to miss the whale sharks swimming as it is a rare chance to do so anywhere you go in the world. The "Super Sardine Illusion" show, where 50,000 sardines swim around to illuminations and music in the immense main tank, is held every day. This magnificent and fantastic sight will absorb you.
Create special memories at this amusement park in the sea breeze!
The view from the amusement park at Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise is amazing as it is located adjacent to the ocean! The 107 meter-tall Blue Fall is a thrilling freefall ride that gives you a beautiful view of the ocean. The Surf Coaster, which is a roller coaster that travels near and above the ocean, is also recommended.
A museum where the finest imagery and entertainment technology come together
Next is "Orbi Yokohama", which is the world's first supercharged natural experience museum, where the great outdoors meet the latest digital technology. Imagery by Britain's BBC Earth, which has continued to give us overwhelming visual images, is combined with technology by SEGA, which has captivated the world by its games, to recreate vast natural scenery around the world to be enjoyed in the city. Here, you can have a whole new kind of experience of what it is actually like to be in various natural environments such as in the jungle or under the sea.
The exciting Theatre 23.4 stimulates your five senses
It is a special theater with wind, fog, vibrations, and even smells in addition to its huge 40 meter-wide, 8 meter-tall main screen and stereophonic effects. Enjoy programs that let you experience things such as life on earth and the mysteries of nature with your five senses.
The after shows are filled with fun, too!
Enjoy some shopping after you have fully experienced a world of imagery! The museum shop offers plenty of goods made in the motif of animals. They also make great gifts as they are elegant in design.
Have a special experience at the Anpanman Museum.
Anpanman is extremely popular among children all over Japan. The Yokohama Anpanman Children's Museum & Mall gives you a full experience of Anpanman's appeal. There is even a hair salon for children here. Take advantage of your trip to Japan by getting your hair fixed stylishly and adorably.
Have a memorable night on a houseboat that gives off a Japanese atmosphere!
A restaurant houseboat shaped like a classic Japanese home in Yokohama, which is filled with delicious foods, can give you a special experience that you cannot have on land. Enjoy eating delicious Japanese food while taking in a night view of famous Japanese landmarks from the ocean.
A scenic footbath garden that commands a view of Yokohama's scenery
Take a hot spring bath after you have used up all of your strength having fun. Yokohama Minato Mirai Manyo Club is a huge eight-storied hot spring facility. Actual Japanese hot spring waters are carried in here from the famous hot spring resorts of Yugawara and Atami every day. The recommended baths are the hot spring footbaths. They let you enjoy the beautiful scenery of Yokohama Bay while soothing your tired feet.
Cross the ocean waters over to Kisarazu for shopping!
There is a nonstop bus from the bus station at the East Exit of Yokohama Railway Station to MITSUI OUTLET PARK KISARAZU. The bus lets you enjoy an exhilarating view of the ocean through the windows as it runs through spots such as the Yokohama Bay Bridge and the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line highway, which has a huge bridge that crosses Tokyo Bay. The mall, which also has an exhilarating ocean view, has about 250 shops. It is also perfect for gift shopping.
